I never really made an introduction when I joined the RMC, even though it has been almost a year already.
I am originally from Pennsylvania, but moved west in 2014. Living back East, I belonged to a muzzleloader shooting club and participated in French and Indian War reenacting. Having moved West, I decided that maybe I should change direction and get more into the mountain man stuff. Living in the high desert of eastern Nevada, I couldn't get much of a feel for doing a mountain man persona. The nearest black powder shoot was 2 hours away in Utah and any events were almost a days drive away.
In late 2015, we moved to Miles City, MT. With the move, I got more of an itch to start into the mountain man era. Strangely, muzzleloader clubs are few and far between here...something the folks back home in PA do not believe when I tell them. I have been to Fort Union to visit a few times and met with Leifer and Rod. For some reason I just can not kick myself in the arse and get moving on making the change. We love it here and are planning to stay. I guess I just have to buckle down and do it.

Rob, you're just going to have to hold your nose and jump in brother. Seems like us mountaineers are few and far between but you've already met a couple of pretty knowledgeable fellers. Just keep going.
