I thought this would be a great link for those of you familiar with Green River Rifle Works. Robert "Bob" Allen has constructed a sight that is all things "Green River Rifle Works" and has put together a pretty nice Newsletter covering the history of the shop, the builders and the products ...i.e. Hawken, Leman and other guns built by the company in their brief yet famous tenure. Here's the link: furtradebooks.tripod.com/Bob is continually looking for stories and information on GRRW, their employees and products as well as hunting stories using Green River rifles. I know Lloyd Moler and Chuck Burrows both likely have tales to share and experience with their products....but there may be others I don't know as well that frequent this board. Doug

Always wanted me a GRRW gun but never could afford it. It really was a good outfit even if short lived. And those that came out of GRRW, like Ron Paull if memory serves me correctly, really did traditional ML a lot of good as well. Looking forward to perusing the site. Thanks Doug.

My ex-brother-in-law (my sister's first, many years ago) had a GRRW Leman. It was a great rifle. I hope whoever stole it out of his truck enjoyed it.
