Well, here is my new saddle almost totally rigged - I am still waiting on some iron rings with staples to put on so I can attach a breast collar to it. The tree is a Wade style by Hercules - I picked it up for $100 at a local saddle shop - All the leather is heavy harness leather that Jim Branson and I cut out and used to make the saddle - seat etc - the stirrup leathers have a brass roller buckle and iron stirrups. I helped stitch it and nail it together while Jim laid it out - and I oiled it and rigged the stirrups when I got it home. Although not a period tree it fits my horse well and that is very important

Dan'l,
Nice looking rig for a good price. Interesting tree. I like a light outfit like that, not a lot of extra weight for nothing. Have to show us when you saddle up.
