Read this a couple days back and it made me smile.
John Ball (1794-1884) thought of Nathaniel J. Wyeth as "...an active business man, a great philosopher as I ever met, all learned by his own observation he goes ahead in everything, a good hunter, will mend a gun or wagon or anything else with a Jack Knife..."
