In case some one hasn't heard about this yet----there will be a fur trade symposium at Three Forks, Montana, this coming September. www.tfhistory.org/symposium.htmlLooks like they've got a top-notch array of speakers coming. I plan on being there, bringing the rifle and gear to throw in with guys doing some of the demos. Anybody else planning on going? Sign up before Aug. 1 to get in on the reduced rate. The occasion is the 200th anniversary of the Henry-Menard party at the 3 forks area--before the Blackfeet chased them out (wonder who's going portray Drouilliard ) Rod

I'll be there with the Montana Historical Gunmaker's Guild. We will have a display of guns pertaining to the period. My particular assignment is to bring a Northwest gun and my JJ Henry English pattern. I thought of being a vendor but then found out that vendors will be set up in a separate building so I said no deal. I want to be where the action is. I'm looking forward to this very much, hope to see you all there.
