I know this has been covered, and I should be referred to Book of BuckskinningVII. However, I have lent my copy and out and can't remember who I lent it to. So, what color is Drab? Light brown, light gray, Olive drab, and where does Silver Belly come into the mix? I am ordering a hat from Tim Bender and have decided on a low round crown 4", wide brim 4 or 5 " and having trouble with color. Don't want black as it's too hot out west. And he doesn't offer white. By the way I have had a C&H Traders for 30 years, great hat, same dimensions but in brown. Your Thoughts. Doug Teakell

Here is a picture of my Tim Bender hat. Mine is the color he calls "Sahara." It is a nice light grey that matches the color of hats shown by A.J. Miller. Tim makes great hats and you will enjoy yours! Attachments:

Beaver Hunter, THAT'S MY HAT! Pretty nice, that's kinda what I was envisioning when I talked with Tim. Wasn't sure about that color, "Saraha". He says it's a sand color. Where I live sand comes in shades from black to white and every thing in between! I like the color of your hat. Thanks for showing it to me. You made my choice easier. Cheers, Doug Teakell

Doug,
My brim is 4 inches. The style I ordered is what he calls the Medium Crown Bowler. The crown is 4 3/4 inches high. It has a leather sweat band sewn on the inside. The hat band is included, but he charges a little extra to hand sew on the trim around the brim.
The hat is well worth the money. I am very happy with mine. Glad the picture helped.
