Pre-1850 Quiver & Bow Case

This is a pre-1850 quiver and bow case made of brain tanned elk with early Cheyenne style pound beadwork. Other deco includes fringe, brass beads, tin cones, horse and human hair. The base of the quiver is made of 5/16" thick neck hide the arrow points from dulling with an outer cover of rawhide to keep the points from poking through.

While not a direct copy it is based on several originals

Chuck, that is spectacular. Speaking of quivers and bowcases, I've had a couple of things lately that are giving me the itch to get back into building bows, but I don't have the time to wipe my nose right now and probably won't for a year.

we get them too but not that bad usually .Hides are like lumber theres a lot of difference in one standing in the woods and a good finish product most folks dont understand the work it takes
