A Kiowa style bag patterned loosely after a Stike-a-Light bag in Buckskinning book #3.. 4″ x 5″. The awl started as a beautiful antler piece that was too small for a knife handle so I made a saddlers awl with it using a broken round file. And an awl sheath that matches the bag.…loosely… Black, white and light blue pound beads on stitched together scraps. The awl case has a rawhide foundation. I'm not sure of the dates on the fret edging as far as west of the Missouri, there are many examples east pre- 1840. The cover/tie of the awl case I took from a horse quirk picture.... I'm recovering from a recent surgery and having to sit still makes me crazy-er so stitching and beading at least gives my mind something to do.......Randy
