And a later Leman, at that. Interesting letter, though---been a long time since I'd heard of Dan Muldoon. Evidentally the seller got it from him?
Now I'll just have to watch the movie again. At that price, it's as close as I'll get to that rifle.
By the way, I've been told that, as the letter states, the 'Leman' is used by Running Moon in the climactic scene---but the promo still shows her holding a NW gun in that scene.

Rod, The gun Running Moon used to "divorce" Heavy Eagle was the rifle, it had the brass nose cap which is easily seen. Shoot sharp, Mike

Yep, I had guessed that---but, like I said, the still pic of her shows a NW gun---something the gaffers didn't catch, I'm guessing? It can be fun dissecting gaffs in movies (like the camera guy clearly caught to the right of the screen in the opening scene of Last of the Mohicans, and a bus off in the distance in another shot of the same film). There's a reason my wife hates watching movies with me!
