Here's some photos of a couple of bags and horns, one is a typical shop-made bag of harness leather--no frills, this is what I think the average guy would outfit with at St. Louis. I use this one with my rifle. Second bag is more native inspired, made of braintanned mule deer. The beadwork roughly follows the pattern on Andrew Henry's leggings in the Museum of the Fur Trade. This one is set up for use with my NW gun. There's also a shot of the contents of the rifle bag---a folding knife, a couple of turnscrews, a Turlington's bottle of oil, and a couple of tins--one is grease and greased patches, the other is my emergency fire starter kit and is sealed with wax so it's completely waterproof. The horns are both buffalo, with plain braintan deer leather straps. Attachments:
