How many on here does their own brain tan leather? If so how long does it take you to flesh a hide and then dehair a hide? I just got my first hide and it is taking me for ever and a day to get these 2 things done. I hope it gets faster the more hides I do.
I am using a draw knife that has been dulled to do this and looking at getting a flesher from brain tan.com does anyone have any ideas on what works best for them?
Wet scraping no rack or anything just on the beam.

I've never done it that way, so I can't say. I frame them up and dry scrape, that usually goes pretty quickly---maybe an hour or two for fleshing (helps with dry scrape if you frame up then let it dry just a bit, fleshes alot easier), and about the same for scraping the hair off. A good sharp scraper helps with that.
Not sure if this will help you, as it's two different processes.

about an hour for fleshing and about 2 hrs for dehairing/graining once the hair starts to slip well
