Got my copy of the Selected Papers of the 2010 Fur Trade Symposium at the Three Forks, edited by Jim Hardee, on Friday. I've been going through it, reading here and there. Lots of good articles on the early Rocky Mountain fur trade, with authors the likes of Clay Landry, Jim Hanson, Jim Hardee, and others. Well written, 8 1/2x11 in size, hardcover with color illustrations. The only fault I have with it was there was a mistake in printing the book, with some of the pages not following the pages they're supposed to--even though they're numbered sequentially. At first I thought I was missing some text, but it's all there, but not in the right order. I went through the book and renumbered the pages so I can read it without too much confusion. I don't know if this problem is just my copy, or if others have the same problem. Anyway, I recommend this one, even with the printing error. I'd assume that you could get a copy from: Headwaters Heritage Museum PO Box 116 202 S. Main St. Three Forks, MT 59752 www.tfhistory.orgRod

I'm resurrecting this old topic to let everyone know that the Three Forks Fur Trade Symposium Proceedings has been republished and completely corrected. If you got one of the ones with the mixed up pages, you should be receiving a new edition free of charge.
If you haven't gotten one of these yet, now would be the time. See the website above.
