Just wanted to say howdy-do to everyone. My Crow name is Iche Iia which means Foot in Mouth which is usually where mine ends up, especially after a pull or two on the jug.
I'm an old fart; 64, and have only been in this hobby for about a year and a half but I'm having a great time with it.
I live in Prince George, Virginia and my persona is a 1830's mountain man

I'm just an ol hippy who's trying to get along I ain't trying to change no body I'm just trying real hard to survive.
If they ever wrote a song about me that's it! ;D
As for the guitar, I can't do much period music but I do dearly love the Blues and when they let me, I pick a little for our group at the local "voos" . That was taken at a rendezvous in Surry Co. VA.
Taint nuthin like gettin the pipe a-glowin wid a good jug of shine and pickin the Blues!

Steve, Yep, the site just took a big step backwards To be truthful, it's taken me a while to find this place. I have looked for a mountain man forum for so long, I thought I was going to have to put my own up. Sure was glad that I don't have to,,,,,,,,,,,been there, done that...........got the t-shirt. My hats off to these guys because running one of these things can be a time consuming pain in the butt!

Hey Iche, Doin's with the guitar sound good. Someday I hope to hear you, maybe beatin' down on one of Hank Snow's railroad songs or Hoyt Axton's "Boney Fingers." Don't leave the guitar home! Shoot sharp, Mike

Well, I don't know too much about the Hank Snow stuff, if it ain't old rock-n-roll or blues, I'll just have to follow somebody.
Yep, I usually bring it along with me. Don't play as much as I use to but it's still fun to pick up every once in a while.
By the By, you guys do a great job here on this forum. Glad it found me!
