Smoothbores in the western fur trade

This is my NW gun.
I was trying to find an American copy of a NW gun (just to be different),
and found this one; made by Bill Oikle out of Vermont.

He did a pretty nice job on it, the only thing I I wasn't crazy about
was the brass trigger guard, but it wasn't really much of an issue
to me in the end. Gun's a shooter, and that's what counts.
She's a 58 cal smoothbore. (sorry i couldn't fit the whole gun in the photo)

Call Matt at North Star West and order a iron guard. Since these guards sit on the wood, it would be an easy matter to trade the brass for iron...

This one is ash and my favorite. 42" x .630" bore & a Queen Anne L&R lock. I don't know who built it. I got it in a trade for a CenterMark Tulle. Good trade.
